Join Harold Shapiro as he tours the peaceful grounds of Madison's Mercy Center. Bring your wide angle, telephoto and macro lenses to best capture the beauty of the oasis. Tripods and flashes might also be handy. Harold will be on hand to help with questions and compositional tips. He suggests also bringing a snack and water. Any skill level is welcome although you should be familiar with the basic operation of your camera and accessories.
This shooting workshop is $29.95 per person and is limited to 20 people. It will be held weather permitting. Contact the store to register without paypal.
167 Neck Rd., Madison, CT 06443
For past visitors to Mercy Center, please note our entrance and exit have changed. There is one entrance and exit for the safety of residents, students and all visitors to our campus. All guests now enter through the school parking lot and proceed up the hill past Emmanuel House to the main building. All exit through what was our old entrance. Please drive slowly and be mindful of pedestrians on our narrow and winding winds.
Once you are on Neck Road:
Travel about ½ mile to the Mercy Campus.
Turn left into the driveway immediately before Our Lady of Mercy School (brick building).
Keep left past the school building and school parking lot, and then follow the long, narrow driveway.
Keeping Emmanuel House (two-story house) on your left, take a slight right and continue into the parking lot in front of the main building.
TO GET TO NECK ROAD FROM NEW YORK:
Take I-95 to Exit 59 (Goose Lane, Guilford). At light at end of exit, take a right, then take an immediate left onto Rte. 1. Travel about two miles and take a right onto Neck Rd. (It’s the first right after Ford dealership on left and JJ Autoworks on right, and immediately before the School House Deli). Another quick right at stop sign (still Neck Rd.). Follow directions at top of page.
