Nothing says the holidays like the brisk air in your lungs and cold snap of your shutters. The Milford Green is litup postcard pretty: good time to practice your night time shooting skills or learn some outright. Last year we tried some night painting of the Gazeebo and we'll do it again with a couple of those BFLs (big friggin light); we made some of the best frames I'd ever had after running this event on and off for almost 20 years. Look for them in the meetup album archive under painting the holiday lights for ideas.

YOU WILL NEED:
Dress accordingly especially your feet. It may be chilly.
A tripod is a neccesity. A flash light is very useful.
Bring an extra battery if you have one: long exposures and the cold will sap your battery.
Tips: practice setting up and mounting your camera on your tripod before coming out.
You might need to manual focus so practice.
