the milwaukee vegan meetup is emerging from a brief hibernation ;) to announce our exciting march meetup at ian’s pizza! we’ll be meeting at the east side location (on north ave.) for an informal lunch gathering. hope you can join us!
we have a LOT of new members these days but of course also a pile of old friends, and we hope to see a fun mixture of new faces at this event. whether you are new to veganism or an old pro at plant-eating, everyone is welcome to indulge in this vegan pizza extravaganza.
colleen lawrence of veganmilwaukee.com has been working hard behind the scenes with the manager at ian’s, and they’re cooking up a variety of great vegan options just for our meetup. if you’ve never been to ian’s before, they offer slices that are a little out of the ordinary—in a good way! one of their staples is the mac & cheese slice, and their vegan version is delicious! they also have a great burrito pizza (beans, guac, rice, red onions, vegan cheese and a vegan sour cream drizzle), and a really tasty vegan BBQ chick’n pizza. you’ll probably see all of those, plus several more options they’re excited to offer us.
also, for future reference, ian’s on north ave. has “vegan night” EVERY tuesday night, so you can get your vegan slice on every week. you can also order a full-size vegan pizza any day of the week. yay ian’s!

please remember to RSVP by 1pm on friday march 1st, and please arrive by 1pm on the day of the event to be sure you have a seat. as a courtesy to the restaurant (and your fellow diners), PLEASE remember to change your RSVP if your plans change. seating is limited and we want to be able to provide an accurate head count to the restaurant. the wait list will activate once we are full, and as things change you will be notified via email if a spot opens up.
the restaurant is a pay-as-you-order establishment, so no money worries at this one. they accept cash or credit cards, and they also accept tips. ;) let’s be sure to show our appreciation for this great event!
