July Vegan Meetup at Transfer

Please join us for the July Vegan Meetup at Transfer Pizza on Milwaukee’s south side. Whether you are a long-time vegan who wants to try a new place, or a new vegan, curious, or just willing to try, you will not want to miss this awesome dining experience.

Kim Fisher Isaacs says... If you're a frequent South 1st St. commuter, you've probably noticed Transfer Pizzeria Café. Transfer is a favorite in the Milwaukee vegan food scene, as chef Vasyl Lemberskyy's creative pizza combinations are nothing to keep quiet about, word has spread quickly. Transfer’s owner has restored much of the century-old corner building to its original appearance, exposing wooden beams, a tile floor and stained glass. Ukrainian born master chef Lembersky whips up an airy crust and piles it with choice ingredients. Transfer is a member of Springdale Farm's Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, and gets weekly deliveries of fresh, organic produce grown in Plymouth. With three vegan sauces to choose from and Daiya cheese, the pizza variety is enormous and the prices reasonable.

Transfer also has a small selection of vegan antipasti, salads, pasta, and panini. Gluten-free pizza is also now available for a small additional charge.

Please remember to RSVP by 12noon on Friday, July 6th, and arrive by noon on the day of to guarantee a seat. As a courtesy to the restaurant (and your fellow diners), please be prepared to pay with cash, including gratuity.

In addition, PLEASE remember to change your RSVP as your plans change. Seating is limited and we want to be able to provide an accurate head count to the restaurant. The wait list will activate once we are full, and as things change you will be notified via email if a spot opens up.

*** As a courtesy to the restaurant, we need a firm head count. No “Maybe” RSVP’s will be accepted. Any “Yes” RSVP’s that do not show up may be dropped from the Milwaukee Vegan Meetup group.***

I liked that we had our own room. The music was too loud for conversation. Name stickers would have been helpful.
