The incredible FONDY MARKET opens up again [every saturday until june 19th, then it expands hours http://www.fondymarke...]
I've never been to any market, in all the markets in all the industrialized cities I've been, where just a few dollars buys you such a massive bag of organic produce grown by such accomplished [Hmong] farmers. Wisconsin is 3rd in the nation for organic produce farmers markets, and though the State Fair, West Allis market is much bigger, Fondy [at 22nd and Fond Du Lac] is cheaper, and of a more consistent quality... WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL.

Also, on the subject of incredible organic assets here in MILWAUKEE, Growing Power's Will Allen just made Time Magazine's 100 most influential- http://www.jsonline.c...
You can also buy incredible hoop house and greenhouse [grown onsite] as well as Rainbow Farmers Coop produce [right now from the deep south esp.] at Growing Power, also amazing stuff. Check out their website http://growingpower.o..., or see the movie WASTE=FOOD to understand the importance of the work going on there. I work for them now, and can confidently assert that, with the plans we have in motion, we shall not merely impress, but astonish you. So please get down there, why don't you find out for yourself.

The Taste the Season cooking demo/food sampling/food for sale at the Fondy Market on Sat. [only] from 9am to noon, has been really great, loads of vegan and sometimes raw vegan stuff. I've had better vegan food there than just about any restaurant in the milwaukee area, recently. Check out their past entrees, video clip, etc. http://www.fondymarke...
