Vent our workday frustrations at ** CMP Tactical Lazer Tag! **

My coworkers and I did this earlier this week, and it was perhaps the most fun I have had in ages!  CMP Tactical Lazer Tag is not the cheesy neon blacklight little kids' party laser tag that you might be expecting.  It is Live Action Call of Duty.  It's an exciting, fun, blast.

We'll play a 1.5 hour session, and if people are interested, grab some dinner at a local restaurant afterwards.

If we get enough RSVP's we'll call them and see if there's anything we can do in terms of special pricing or reservations.  Without special pricing, a 1.5-hour session costs $25 per person.

From CMP:

Play times at our indoor location are split into specific hour and a half sessions, which includes gearing, briefing, and play time. We encourage you to arrive 20-25 minutes early to make sure you don't miss any, and so you can fill out our waivers.

A good time getting "killed" by people too young to grow facial hair. Clearly we should of had some sort of handicap.

Fun time. Got our butts kicked by 12 year olds. But a good time nevertheless.

If I were able to go tomorrow, would anyone be able to give me a ride to and from this event? I'm on the Northwest side of Milwaukee. Also, I have a voucher from Living Social for a 90-minute session.

Are you guys planning to start the game at 6 pm sharp?
And are tickets sold at the door or they should be purchased in advance?

    August 11, 2013

    • Jason

Sorry for not responding sooner. They start at 6 PM sharp, and players are encouraged to show up about 20 to 25 minutes early.

For those going to the lazer tag meetup, please arrive early. The 6 PM session starts at 6 PM, and you have to sign up and sign a waiver and all that fun. CMP encourages players to show up 20 to 25 minutes in advance.

Unless a miracle happens where I can walk properly, I'm a no. I have 3 bad bug bites on one foot and was a clutz and injured my toe on the other. I hope you can schedule it again sometime because I'd love to go.

I hope you get well soon. If it's scheduled again, I may be able to go too.

For now, I'm a yes. It just all depends on some of my extended family members' health.

Hope you can make it. Of course, I hope the situation with your family members' health is okay. I totally understand being in that situation.

Not so sure. I just wish it was planned for a Friday evening or a weekend.

Sorry about that -- the weekend meetups were getting a little cluttered, and this seemed like a good idea for a weeknight event. Hope you can make it! If not, we understand.

If I'm in town this week I'll for sure attend. Sounds exciting!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
