Interactive Murder Mystery 'Closing Night' at the Alchemist Theatre

This event is SOLD OUT.  Please only RSVP yes if you have ALREADY purchased tickets from the Alchemist Theater.

The Alchemist Theater in Bay View presents an interactive theatrical production of a murder.  In a fun twist, this show requires the audience to split into teams of no more than 5 people, investigating the murder by interviewing actors and exploring catacombs and hidden passageways throughout the evening.

As part of the price of the $25 ticket, you also get complimentary popcorn, light snacks, soft drinks and specialty "mocktails" (which can be "spiked" for $2).

Our group will be seeing the show the night of October 12th.  We will meet at the theater prior to the start of the show, at 7:00 pm.  If we have more than 5 group members, we'll split into teams.  Note: The theater will not allow entrance to anyone who arrives after the show begins, even if you have a paid ticket - so arrive early!

** Repeat: Please only RSVP yes if you ALREADY have tickets.  If you show up at the theater without tickets you will not be able to buy them at the door.  The show has already sold out. **

Description:

It is CLOSING NIGHT of another successful run of shows but the evening is interrupted by MURDER!

Thankfully YOU (and the rest of the audience) are on hand to help investigate the tragedy.  You’ll soon discover that this is no ordinary murder.

Forces from beyond are reaching out to help and hinder your investigation by seeping into photographs, whispering through walls and opening locked doors.  Your adventure will lead you to spy on intimate backstage moments, explore uncharted catacombs and uncover the dark tales told only from behind the stage curtain.  The show must go on. Even after murder on CLOSING NIGHT!

CLOSING NIGHT asks you to play the role of investigator with an open mind.

The murder you'll witness may not be entirely as it seems.
In this building, with its long history of ghostly occurrences , perhaps much is not as it seems.

The writer of the show, Aaron Kopec, posted on Facebook: "Every night when i get home i have the lingering thought of "what if someone is still lost in the catacombs??""

Hey Angelo. I would guess it would be fine for a 13 and 14 year old. However, please be aware that the show is sold out. Tickets won't be available at the door. But the Alchemist Theater is putting on these shows all month long, so if you go I hope you enjoy it!

Update for everyone who has RSVP'd -- If you haven't already purchased your tickets from the Alchemist Theater, you're going to be out of luck. The show has sold out. If you RSVP'd yes without buying your tickets first (as requested in the meetup description), you won't be able to get in. Tickets will not be available at the door.

I'm up for October 12th. Eriko, Jenna - if y'all are in for 10/12, that would give us the minimum 3, and we could schedule it. Unless Allison you'd be bringing your hubby, in which case that'd be minimum 3 right there?

Bought my ticket. Only 34 seats remain for the show on October 12th! I've updated the Meetup event and will send out a new announcement.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
