November 20 Update:
See you all tomorrow at Pere Marquette. I'll likely be at the Brat House at 5pm for dinner. For those of you who liked encased meatz, feel free to join me. Otherwise, I'll plan on being at this corner (http://goo.gl/maps/2r3HF) starting at around 5:45pm. Since there will be live entertainment/ice sculpting/etc. we obviously don't have to stick together the whole time, but it'll be cool to see a few familiar faces and meet a few new ones. We can try to sit together for the fireworks display at 6:30 if that works for everyone. Remember that the Jingle Bus rides are free tomorrow following the show, and will take people past illuminated displays in Cathedral Square Park, Zeidler Union Square and along Wisconsin Ave.
Lights - check. Cameras - sure. Action - definitely!!!!
On Thursday, November 21 beginning at 6pm (we'll meet at 540 for somewhere to sit together), let's gather around and watch the city of Milwaukee flip the switch on the Holiday Lights for this season.
The show starts at 6, and should conclude at around 6:30pm, at which point there will be some neat-o pyromaniacs (aka fireworks). As an added bonus, riding aboard the Jingle Bus will be free this night, and there will be free cocoa and cookies for the evening.
Bored afterwards, or just want to hang out with this Meetup Group? Brathaus and Old German Beer Hall are a stone's throw away from Pere Marquette Park. I know that 6pm isn't really convenient for some of you who work, so let's make an informal post holiday light meetup an option.
The admission to this event is free, as are any Jingle Bus rides that you want to take. Should we want to meet up afterwards for a few drinks and/or food, you'd be responsible for those expenditures.
Don't forget your lawn chairs and blankets!
