Are you passionate about web design and everything web related? Are you current with cutting-edge web design concepts? Do you want to work for a large company with a long, respected history? If so, please keep reading!

Our client company, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is looking for a front-end, web applications developer to add to their team. This is an on-going assignment with no set end date. Your will be a W2, hourly employee of Aquent during this time. We do have health and dental benefits from which you may choose.

Here is what you will do:
Our client is looking for someone who is very strong in building high-traffic, cross-browser (internet facing) web applications. Specifically very strong in front-end web development with deep experience coding HTML(5), CSS(3), JavaScript/jQuery/AJAX/JSON. Ideally, you also have experience building mobile web applications (understands touch interactions on a iPad as an example). Your also use modern web development techniques and keeps up on industry standards & trends.

Here is what you need to have:

XHTML / HTML5.
CSS 2.1 / CSS3 (Reset / Media Queries / hosted fonts).
JavaScript (jQuery, jQuery UI, jQuery Mobile, AJAX/JSON, Modernizr, Mustache, Regular Expressions).
Can take a rough sketch/drawing of a new screen and turn that into HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

Can talk about the following:
Responsive Design.
Standards-compliant HTML & CSS.
Cross-browser compatibility (IE8, IE9, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Mobile Safari).
Feature Detection (polyfills/shims).
Progressive Enhancement.
Clearfix technique.
JavaScript debugging / performance.
Overall best practices for website speed/performance.
Has done or understands the design process (UX / Usability).

Bonus Skills / Concepts
ASP.NET / C#
JavaScript MVC frameworks (backbone, ember, etc)
This person contributes to the open source community
CSS frameworks (SASS/LESS)
PhotoShop (can create sprites, as an example)
