Please pay careful attention to the start time for this event. The Friday night start times will fluctuate throughout January and February. Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes early so we can start the games on time!
These tournaments are the perfect pairing of pickup soccer and competition with a social twist. Whether you've been playing all your life or you're just an average player, we have a knack for creating balanced teams so that everyone has a good time.
These weekly events will sell out every Friday. We recommend registering early! Please, if you sign up and change your mind, change your RSVP so that someone else can play. If you RSVP for guests, it is your responsibility to make sure that your guest count is accurate. No-shows will be recorded on your account and are grounds for being dismissed from the group.
You can sign up by yourself or with some of your friends. You may request to play on the same team as other attendees by leaving it in the comments section. We will try our best to accommodate, but it may not always work out. We take care of creating the teams on the day of the tournament and making sure that everyone has a great time. All you have to do is show up ready to play!
We'll play the 6v6 tournament on one field. Each team will have no more than one sub. Shinguards are mandatory.

Yes, the price has increased for cash payers because the rental cost went up this year. It's still a great deal! Online payments are encouraged!
We'll be on one field for two hours. We will start the first game at the time posted for this event. Check-in begins half an hour before the posted start time. Get there early so that you can check in with the Sports Monster Staff to get your team assignment and pinnie as well as stretch and warm up! If you haven't arrived by 10 minutes after the advertised start time, we reserve the right to give your spot away without refund.
We do our best to create even teams each week. The entire tournament takes place in one evening and the winners are rewarded with bragging rights and their photo on our Meetup page.
This tournament consists of four teams of 6 people (plus one sub).
On the day of the tournament, we'll take the RSVP list and divide it up into teams (A, B, C, & D)
You may request to play on the same team as someone else, just make a note of it when you RSVP.
Each game will last 13-15 minutes. Every team gets an hour of playing time.
We'll keep track of the standings for the tournament.
This format is great for combining playing time with time for socializing with other fun and soccer-loving people like yourself!
3 points for a win, 1 for a tie and 0 for a loss. The teams in the final two games are decided by points, then goal difference then goals scored. If the Final is still tied after 15 minutes, 5 minutes of 'Golden Goal' will be played. If the game is still tied, there will be a penalty shoot out.

Refunds or credits are available if you change your RSVP from "Yes" to "No" at least 48 hours before the day you wish to play. If you change your response to "No" less than 48 hours before the tournament, you will receive a credit only if your spot is filled by another player.
Notes and disclaimers: All players must sign a waiver on a seasonal basis, which is available with the event host. All players play at their own risk. The format may change to three teams (king of the court) or two teams (pickup style) depending on how many players are registered. A minimum of 14 registered players are required to make the event run. Duration of the games may vary from advertised game-length. Roughly an hour of playing time per team is guaranteed if the event starts on time. While rare, major injuries or player ejections may impact playing time. For the good of the group, players exhibiting overly-aggressive, unsportsmanlike, or threatening behavior will be dismissed from the event at the discretion of the event host without refund.
Space is limited. Walk-ups will only be able to play if there is space. We will not assign more than 7 players to a team for the tournament format unless specifically requested by players in the comments section before the event. Spots will be given away to no-shows at 8:10 without refund. No-shows will be marked on your account and will be grounds for dismissal if you are a repeat offender. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR RSVP!! Thanks!!
