What happens during the 1h15min urban meditation class?
Mind training/Mindfulness meditation classes. 30 minutes talk/lecture/discussions about a particular topic related to emotional & cognitive balance. The talk incorporates practical find-ings in neuroscience, psychology, medicine and contemplative practices. 20-25 minutes mindfulness meditation practice. 10-15 minutes Q&A

What type of meditation is taught? What if I already have my own way of practicing meditation?
We practice Mindfulness Meditation, mainly mindfulness of breathing. The main purpose of this meditation is to refine and balance the attention and calm the mind. That is why it is usu-ally considered a first step into the meditative path. This meditation does not interfere with any other practice. The class is suitable for all levels.
Do I need special clothing?
No. Wear simply some comfortable clothing. Chairs are available but also mats, cushions, benches.
Are you certified as a meditation teacher?
I am certified as a Mindfulness Meditation teacher, by Santa Barbara Institute for Conscious-ness Studies. I was taught by B Alan Wallace, Phd and Paul Ekman, Phd. I am also an MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) teacher, certified by the Institute for Mindfulness Based Approaches (IMA). I have an educational background as a psychologist, with interest in brain and mind interventions and have a regular meditation practice. I offer services for individuals, organizations and community at large.
