The Metrodome faces demolition next year, so this is the final season to Rollerblade on the smooth, level concourses known as the Rollerdome. Even if you've never put on a pair of inline skates in your life, this is the perfect place to start. Aside from the already mentioned smooth, level, circular track, slower skaters stay on the outside and more experienced ones hug the inner lane, so bladers of all abilities can get along. Rentals are available, the skates are top-notch, and optional safety gear (helmets and such) is included. And parking is free! Just go to Gate D. For more information, visit:
Admission is $6.50 for adults, $5.50 for students, and $4.50 for kids. Optional skate rentals cost an additional $5.00 per pair. But if we gather a group of at least ten skating atheists, we'll qualify for the group rate of $6.00 per adult.
Look for your host near the entrance by the skate rentals and admission area. We can stay as late as 9 p.m. If you'd like to go to a local watering hole afterwards, please say so in your RSVP. Suggestions are welcome!
Don't miss the chance to experience Rollerdome before it becomes a fond blader memory!
