Godless Gamers II - Board Game Night, the Sequel

Since there's enough interest in another game night, and Source has expanded to a big, beautiful space for games, we are going to try a few nights there. We have a space reserved for the 4th Thursday of the month for April, May and June, starting at 6:00. The Source lacks the full menu we've enjoyed at Java Train, but does offer some traditional gamer staples like snacks and soda. The tables are really ideal; we can spread out and enjoy spacious games like Last Night On Earth without annexing additional areas.

Look for the Meetup sign; there will likely be other gaming groups (though Thursday tends to be their slowest night). This site also has plenty of parking in back, you just have to get through the poorly planned intersection at Snelling. Closing time is 9:00.

See you there!

Sarah and I will pop in, and have our two nieces from out of town with. Might not stay long, but wanted to attend for a bit!

Always fun and everyone is patient with me while I learn the games.

Super fun, as always! I really like the nice mix of new and returning players. I highly recommend this meetup to everyone.

Hope there isn't anything against people who haven't done much for board gaming before

Doesn't matter if the last game you played was Candyland (and you lost). There are plenty of games you can pick up on right away, and you can dip your toe in more strategic stuff if you want to.

I would strongly suggest Newbie Night! It is a great way to share stories with others. GG is a fun time, and really it's just about a bunch of folks getting together and playing board games with others who share some of the same views.

Anticipating an excellent turnout - we'll be sure to have some games for big groups (Wits & Wagers, Resistance, Tsuro) to complement the crunchier Euro games. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

I will bring a bunch of Euro games. Source is better location for me than Java Train.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
