Old Creamery Cafe
Our long tradition of helping beautify our highways while getting some atheist recognition (in the form of a road sign informing motorists that this stretch of highway is maintained by Minnesota Atheists) continues.
On Sunday, September 27, Minnesota Atheists will be performing its Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup. The Cleanup is scheduled from 1:00-3:30 p.m. on Highway 10 in Rice, MN, but depending on the size of the turnout, it may not take that long. In any case, we'll meet at noon at The Old Creamery Cafe, 405 Main St., Rice, MN 56367 (west of the stoplight on Hwy. 10). Phone:[masked]-4100. This restaurant has a great all-you-can-eat brunch buffet, so bring a healthy appetite.
Arrive at noon for lunch beforehand and/or stay for dinner afterwards. Gloves and sturdy footwear are recommended.
Transportation is available from the Twin Cities. Contact: Deb Doucette (Randall)[masked], August Berkshire (Minneapolis)[masked], Steve Petersen (Shoreview) [masked], or Jack Caravela (Northeast Minneapolis) achair.mnatheists.org for more details. Also, call August if it looks like it will rain to see if the event has been postponed.
Hope to see you there!
