Parade Lineup starts at noon, parade starts at 1:00.
The May Day Parade and Festival in South Minneapolis is one of the funnest events Minnesota Atheists get to do during the year. We gather at Cedar Field at noon to march down Bloomington Ave from Cedar Field to Powderhorn Park. We carry signs as we march to educate the public about us. We never fail to get a welcoming and enthusiastic response from the crowd!
After the parade, you are welcome to meet at our booth. It's a great chance to talk to people who are supporters of our causes, even if they are not atheists. Many of them feel just as strongly about the importance of the separation of church and state as we do. So stop on by the booth, or better yet, march in the parade to show your support!

If you are interested in helping set up, staff, or take down the booth, contact Steve Petersen at [masked] or[masked]-9277.
If you have any additional questions, you may contact Heather Hegi at [masked]
Come wearing your Minnesota Atheists t-shirt, or get your own special edition Minnesota Atheists T-Shirt that reads: "One Nation Indivisible" (suggested donation of $5). We welcome members of all freethought groups to march with us (though parade rules will only allow our Minnesota Atheists signs).
The organizers of the parade and booth request we do not bring disposable water bottles and encourage everyone to bring their own reusable water bottles.
