Non-Holiday Dinner

For atheists, December 24th is just another day. Then again, maybe it's another day of politely declining an offer to attend a Christmas concert, or go to a midnight Mass or some Christmas Eve super duper church extravaganza. Don't just politely decline and Scrooge yourself at home. Come have dinner with fellow atheists at the Rainbow Chinese Restaurant. It's right on Eat Street, Nicollet Ave, in Minneapolis almost south enough to reach the K Mart on Lake Street.

The food is really well done, and the atmosphere trumps any house of worship filled with tinsel and candles. There are vegetarian options and plenty of creative dishes. They also feature a full bar, stocked with something called, "Holiday Cheer." Check out their website for their full menu.

Please RSVP before December 22nd, as this restaurant will be crowded. Hope to see you there!

Since this is a limited events, if you RSVP Yes, and change your mind, please change your RSVP to no as soon as you can so people on the waiting list can attend.

The restaurant was very noisy. Conversations were difficult.

Despite the weather, most people came and the restaurant was super-crowded. Great food and conversation and an opportunity to renew old friendships.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
