Minnesota Twins Group Outing (Twins vs. Orioles - May 9, 2010 - 1:00pm)

This event was originally planned for August 22, but because that game already sold out the Twins denied my request. As an alternative they offered only a couple other games. This date seemed to be the best choice and it's designated as a "value game" so the tickets ended up being a little cheaper!

On Sunday May 9, 2010 the Minnesota Twins will host the Baltimore Orioles at Target Field. There are only 25 tickets available, so the fist 25 to RSVP and pay will get to go (don't forget to indicate how many guests will be coming with you). Join us for a Sunday afternoon of good, outdoor baseball and bask in the sunshine as we witness our "Minnesota Atheists" organization receive recognition on the brand new, state of the art, giant Twins scoreboard! The right field upper deck tickets cost $11.50 each. Since I'm fronting the money for the tickets it would be appreciated if you send your payment as soon as you RSVP via PayPal to eej1975@yahoo .com or email me for my address and you can send a personal check. I'll either send you your ticket(s), leave it at will call, or meet you at the plaza and give it to you there. Game time is at 1:00pm but I plan to be at the ballpark by 11:30 proudly wearing a Minnesota Atheists t-shirt. Come early so we can congregate on the plaza for a little while before the game starts.

Everything I'd hoped for except warm weather. Great bunch of people, Patrick was excellent company. Thanks to Eric for engineering the trip. The Twins even obliged by trouncing the Orioles -- who could ask for anything more?

What a great way to spend Mother's Day. My son and I had a great time and I enjoyed checking out the new stadium. Thanks to Eric for putting this event together!

Great to meet some new people, and to see Minnesota Atheists welcomed on the scoreboard! Many thanks to Eric for taking on all the planning, coordination and expense.

Good company and a good game. For what more can you ask?

For those in the southern metro near to the Mall of America, if you weren't already, I'd suggest parking at the MoA and take the train up. Practically door-to-door service. Add about 45 minutes to your travel time to the game, though.

Don't let today's crummy weather scare you. The forecast for Sunday's game is 62 and sunny! Not too bad for early May in Minnesota.

I will be at the plaza with a big sign that reads "Minnesota Atheists" wearing a purple MN Atheists t-shirt. You can pick up your ticket from me there (I'll also send everyone an email who RSVP'd my cell phone number so you can find me easier) or you can email me at eej1975@yahoo. com for other arrangement requests. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone at the new ballpark. Win Twins!

I just received the tickets from the Twins on Friday, 4/23 (Brooks, your ticket will go out in the mail tomorrow). When I opened the package I noticed that the face value of the tickets was $11.00. I thought that I was getting $13 tickets at a discounted rate so I talked to the ticket sales rep. today. He said ALL discounted group tickets are sold out so they took off some of the extra service fees to make up for it. In the interest of full disclosure I paid $280 for 25 tickets ($11.20 each).

Brooks, once it gets past the first field goal, you will be drawn into the game for good.
