Nietzsche Discussion

If you have a favorite Nietzsche quote to share, please bring it along. Also, if you have a copy of Nietzsche's TWILIGHT OF THE IDOLS, please bring that too since we will discuss a few pages. If you have neither, just come as you are and join the conversation.  No experience necessary.

Sounds like fun. I haven't read Nietzsche since college, but the Antichrist was such a fun read...which pages of Twilight are we reading?

Thanks for your interesting Nietzsche quote, Tom. I'll see if I can find it in his writings. We'll do more Nietzsche Meetups on a regular basis, and I hope you can join us then.

Would love to attend, but can't. Most profound informing idea found somewhere in Nietzsche's work, the assassin's creed, "Nothing is true; everything is permitted." It may lie at the core of Nietzsche himself, and inherent in it is the disturbing probability that rather than atheism, believing in nothing is practically the same as believing in everything. True atheism or atheism of the highest order realizes every conceivable form of awareness - deity and depravity, and says 'yes' to all life.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
