Volunteer with MN Atheists! - Food Packing at Emergency Food Network warehouse

Take the late afternoon off on Thursday, January 9 and join your atheist friends at the Emergency Foodshelf Network (EFN) for a rewarding volunteer opportunity. We will begin sorting and packing food at 1:00pm at the EFN food bank warehouse. The food will then eventually be distributed to various food shelves throughout the Twin Cities.

EFN is a secular, NON-faith based non-profit organization whose mission is to to "serve the hunger needs of our changing communities".

Please show up at the warehouse [masked]th Ave. North, New Hope, MN) a few minutes early and be sure to wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothing! There will be a short waiver for you to sign at the EFN warehouse before the shift begins.

After our hard work is completed some of us might meet up at a nearby eatery for some food and drinks.

The Minnesota Atheists is a partner organization of Volunteers Beyond Belief.

I would like to thank, Scott, Mark, Nathan, Grant and Shirley for their efforts today. While only six of us were able to make the event we were very productive. We packed 199 boxes of produce and 74 bags of meat products. This was enough food to help feed 1,092 people in the twin cites area. Job well done.
Please mark Thursday, February 13th from 1:00 to 3:00 as or next date at the EFN. A Meet Up will be posted in a few days.

If this is your first time at this event please note: When you park in the parking lot, there will be a sidewalk on the far right side of the building and this is the volunteer entrance. Walk along to the glass doors, enter and there is a room on your left where we will gather.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
