Great meet up Bernadette and Phil! The meat & wild rice fry bread was amazing. Very interesting history and great tour of the grounds. I need to brush up on my hatchet throwing skills.

My whole family had a blast last year! The wild rice pancakes are delish, my then 11 yo got to throw hatchets and knives, learned how to set a rabbit snare, we saw a rope-making demo, drank homemade root beer, ate Indian fry bread made from pig weed seeds (YUM!), and learned a great deal about the fur trade in the area during that era. Thanks for posting this, Phil! I think it's worth the drive, esp. if you stop at the Burnett Dairy Farmer-Owned Cooperative on the way home to pick up wine, cheese and have an ice cream cone. https://www.burnettdairy.com
