What a great day. A little rain in the afternoon but just enough to cool it off. Nice to meet Kevin and his dog (forgot the name). Hope to see more of you both.

If nobody lives near me I will be willing to bike to somebody's house and than car pool from there. So anything in wide area of downtown Minneapolis, Como park, Roseville, Midway is ok for me.

Hi people, I am interested in going but only if I can car pool with somebody. Otherwise it would be too far for me. I am in south part of NE Minneapolis, near Quarry center so if anyone is willing to give me a ride please contact me.

Recommendation: My daughter Molly and her husband Nick (of Geeks Without God podcasts) are the street performers Beefcake and Olive, rated in the top 5 for street performers of the nation's RenFests. See them also during Vilification Tennis at noon on the Bear Stage and listen to them vilify their mothers....

Okay, Minnesota Atheists has been approved for $18.50 adult and $10.50 children's online tickets and the service fee of $1.25 is already included in that price. Friday or Monday they're supposed to send us the promo code and tell us how to use it. So don't buy your tickets yet! Also, they're sending us two free tickets, so maybe we can sell them for $18.50 each and raise some money for Minnesota Atheists.

A $3 off coupon I found today applies to the at-the-gate price.

    After talking with the receptionist at The Renaissance Festival here is what I found;
    $22.95 At the Gate.
    $19.95 + $1.25 = $21.20 Online through the Website.
$19.95 No Fee Advance purchase from Walgreens, Super America, Menards and Whole Foods.

If there is an advance purchase promotional code provided for MNAtheists I assume the online convenience fee of $1.25 (Ticketfly - 3rd party vendor) would be added to the $18.50 promotional price making the final price $19.75.

According to their website, the price at the gate is $22.95 and I suspect the $3 coupon applies to that price. http://www.renaissancefest.com/tickets.html

Caroline, you advertise the price as $19.95, which is the advance ticket price. Is that where you got that price? The MNA price, which would be for advance tickets, would be $18.50 adults and $10.50 children.

Yes, you are correct, August. Trying to work (pfft) and post Meetups at the same time is not a good idea. Thank you for the clarification. Ami is also correct, there are some interesting packages listed on their website.

If they have times available there are party packaged that start out at $37 per adult that includes admission, 2 hours in the party tent and food during that time plus the groups name in front of the tent and maybe in the program. I can forward the info I got from the sales department for another group.

I'm RSVPing no because I will already be there. Stop by and say hello if you like. I do Face and Body Painting at my wooden cart next to the wedding chapel. If you need to I may be able to accommodate letting you stash something if I have room in my cart.

You can find $3 off coupons everywhere and then pay at the door for $16.95
I've already cut two out of the ad's we get in the mail by default. Last week we were at an Ace Hardware store and they had a whole stack of $3 off coupons.

    1 · August 20

    • Heather H

Or maybe not $16.95, I don't know what the at the door cost is, I just subtracted $3 from above.

    • Caroline

SA and Walgreen used to sell tickets for $3 off, but there are so many coupons floating around even at the gate. I didn't see an option for advance tickets, so the best deal would be to find a coupon and then it would be $16.95 for adult admission.

      August 20

  • August B.

That price is for advance tickets, not at the door, right? Minnesota Atheists has just received an offer from the fair that might allow us to offer online purchased tickets for $18.50. We'll discuss it at tonight's board meeting, but since there is no obligation to MNA we'll probably do it and, if so, will let you know the code.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
