Social Science at the MN Science Museum

Social Science is an adult night at the Science Museum of Minnesota, welcoming those 21 and over to grab a drink, enjoy the museum, and experience innovative programming.

Dead and UndeadThis Social Science explore the creepier side of science! Find out how rabies is related to the mythologies of vampires and zombies, satisfy your urge for real human brains, explore reanimation through electrical shock, learn how to mummify a chicken and taxidermy a squirrel, watch out for the flesh eating beetles, and see the new Lost Egypt exhibition before it opens to the general public.

As always, the entire museum is open for those 21 and over to explore, with bars throughout the building, live DJs, live demos, trivia and free food sampling. Grab a drink and experience the science!

For those interested, the Omnitheater is showing Tornado Alley. You'll join Storm Chasers star Sean Casey and the researchers of VORTEX 2, an ambitious project that seeks to understand the origins and evolution of tornadoes, on a heart-pounding science adventure through the "severe weather capital of the world."

I had to wait forever just to get into the place. I wouldn't go back.

Couldn't find anyone from the group. Still had a ball.
    Suggestions for next time:
-Get tickets in advance (Will Call line was wayyyy shorter)
-Set a couple of rendezvous time/places, like at the level 4 stage

FYI, the Science Museum is giving those attending a free preview of the new Lost Egypt exhibit that won't be open to the public until Oct. 13th.

This looks really cool. I wish I could go but I will be out of town but if I run into anyone who is going at another meetup I would love to hear about it.

If you use the museum parking ramp, there's a charge per hour.
