MN Atheists Pub Crawl - CC Club Oct 3rd 7:30 PM

  • October 3, 2008 · 7:30 PM

Minnesota Atheists hosted a great pub crawl in May with as many as 25 people joining us along the way from bar to bar. I had a great time, and met some really interesting people. Keep in mind that YOU DON'T HAVE TO DRINK TO HAVE A GOOD TIME! There were plenty of teetotalers around, and they had just as much fun. Make sure you keep an eye on the website for an up to date info, but we're shooting for October 3rd around 7:30 PM at the CC Club in Minneapolis off of Lyndale Ave and W 26th St. We'll be off to Lyle's Liquor Lounge at 9PM and Rudolph's at 10:30PM. Stop by for the whole thing, or just a bit. it'd be great to see some of the fun atheists in Minneapolis again. There should be plenty of free street parking in the area, or you can play it safe and ride your bike, the bus, a friend, or giant turtle.

Was only proof that there is a beer God and that he loves us all. Thanks everyone for the wonderful time and I look forword to the next meetup.

A fun time, though the bars are still smoky due to the butt-suckers at every door. Oh, well. It's a big improvement.

The pub crawl was fun! I think that next time, though, it might be better to do less 'crawling' so other atheists can find us easier! :)

I had a lot of fun meeting with other free-thinking types. Everybody was fun and nice, and there was a great range of conversational topics. I would recommend this meetup to anyone.

This was my first meetup. When I located the group (of about 7/8 at the time) there was no leader/organizer to introduce themselves or other to me; however I was able to start up a conversation with a couple of other "newbies"... so that was less then what I would have expected. The crowd grew and I was able to meet and socialize with many different types of individuals, but the conversations were to sporadic and shifted a lot as the tables and chairs got moved around. I didn't get opportunity to meet many of the others in the group, perhaps because it was in a loud bar atmosphere (which was to be expected). I think next time I'll look for an event that has a more organized, involved, sense of "community" meeting, perhaps with more structure or people that have a greater need for connection.

I'm going to the pub in my neighborhood -- Lee's Liquor Lounge.
