Sunday evening meditation at Mipham Shedra; Rinpoche is guiding us with Concentration meditation to Dzogchen. Working with breathing exercise to still the mind, we are guided in the stages of meditation with Rinpoche's assistance. Giving inner attention; without judgement, without trying to change what is found, we develop gentle, loving acceptance. Quietly bringing presence to our inner lives, we discover who it is we really are, and how we are bonded with all sentient beings. We find habit is not intrinsic, it is developed and can be dismantled. Slowly, our minds settle into a new habit of profound stability which allows us to surf the waves of everyday life with compassion and wisdom.
Offered free of charge, with donations genuinely appreciated.
Stop, breath, relax, watch the mind, and watch the watcher, with Tibetan Vajrayana teacher Lhoppon Rinpoche. Although at first our mind is not able to be stable and restful for long periods, eventually calmness, joy, true relaxation takes place.
Meditation class begins at 5:30PM. Arrive by 5:15PM for tea and to find your seat.
