REFUGE, what does it mean? Refuge Vows, the first step on the Buddhist Path.

Lhoppon Rinpoche will be teaching a class on REFUGE. Everyone interested in the Buddhist Path would find this class of benefit. People who will be taking the Refuge Vow as well as those have already taken the Refuge Vow but who have not had the opportunity to attend the class, will find it indispensable. Rinpoche will be giving the Refuge Vow Ceremony after this class, the same evening for those who have previously requested Rinpoche to be their teacher & were accepted.

Reading Assignment: Words Of My Perfect Teacher (WMPT), Chapter 1 (pages[masked]).
Cost: $50

Tashi Delek and thank you Maya,
I am looking forward to the teacher student vows today.
I think I was unclear about a refuge class preceding (or following) the refuge vows. Either way, I am looking forward to the class and taking refuge vows with Rinpoche. Always good to renew them with a new teacher. I dont believe I have done this since 1978, so this feels like a very good and timely thing for me to do.
The rest is all good, and I am clear about taking teacher student vows with Rinpoche later today.

    Tashi Delek Jane,
The class I was mentioning took place on October 21 & reviewed what was involved with the Guru/Disciple Vow relationship. We spread these out so students truly have the time to contemplate the depth & power of what they are beginning.

    Hi Dear Jane,
Today, 11/11 is the Ceremony where we request Lhoppon Rinpoche to be our TEACHER. We recently had a class/gathering previewing what this means. Then, on November 28th we will be receiving Refuge Vows & Refuge Practice. It is important here in the West for students to realize they are joining in the Guru/Disciple relationship which is the foundation of the next step with is TAKING THE REFUGE VOWS.

I am still confused. (in so many ways). Is the class on the 24th and the vows on the 28th? Thats seems backwards but that is what it looks like on the header hear and on your update about the new date and time.

It looks like the vow ceremony will be preceding the class. Can you please check this and verify?
