"To benefit all sentient beings" Bodhichitta class open to everyone, 12/5/12

  • This class is for EVERYONE! How do we change the world? Bodhichitta...

JOIN US for a deep & heartfelt look into the core of how we get out of the trap of the little self. We have always wanted to help, to be a Bodhisattva, how do we become selfless? Rinpoche shares with us the essence of shifting our lives, shifting our views, becoming empowered to make a difference.

Although our fee for this class is $35 Mipham Shedra will never turn anyone away due to inability to pay. Share what you can. Your arrival at our door is the most important gift.

You will benefit by reading:
Words of My Perfect Teacher (WMPT), PART TWO: Chapter 2 (pages[masked]) before class.

Bodhichitta Vow CEREMONY will be included in this class, this must be pre-arranged with Rinpoche & student.

Bodhicitta is the intention to achieve omniscient Buddhahood so that one may benefit infinite sentient beings. One who has bodhicitta as the primary motivation for all of his or her activities is called a bodhisattva.

Bodhicitta is the union of compassion and wisdom.

Bodhicitta also means the aim to, on the one hand, bring happiness to all sentient beings, and on the other, to relieve them of suffering.

The term bodhicitta in its most complete sense would combine both:

  • the arising of spontaneous and limitless compassion for all sentient beings, and
  • the falling away of the attachment to the illusion of an inherently existent self.
  • May bodhicitta, precious and sublime.
    Arise where it has not yet come to be;
    And where it has arisen may it never fail
    But grow and flourish ever more and more.
