Check this event out. It is a last minute fun event but we can all meet at a specific location after we find out how many will be attending. Here is the information:
Quietly nestled away from the busy thoroughfare, but within walking distance of all that Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach has to offer is one of Palm Beach County’s most amazing destinations. Crane’s BeachHouse Hotel & Tiki Bar is not only a local darling, but hailed by USA WEEKEND as “one of four unique getaway spots” for a romantic weekend. And that’s only the beginning.
Just beyond the lush, tropical foliage and Key West exterior – which boasts two tiki bars where a “mean Mai Tai” is served – are also 27 guest suites that cater to locals and overseas guests who seek something beyond a traditional hotel experience. While outstanding service and intimacy are challenging enough to find individually, Crane’s manages to provide both with the ultimate escape from the ordinary. And then they go many steps beyond what one might expect to arrive in the bustling town or on the pristine beach.
Crane’s BeachHouse is “committed to integrating community support, social
responsibility, environmental sensitivity and the arts into the hotel’s approach to business.” This commitment to the arts, and local, nonprofit organizations comes directly from Michael Crane, the owner. While some are focused on the traditional (like Project Holiday and Gold Coast PR Council), Crane’s tries to add several first-time partners each year. And even though Crane’s BeachHouse is recognized for its service and hospitality, it seems that it goes the extra mile to be involved on a local, meaningful level that has a ripple effect for the entire community. This year is no exception.
On November 14, Crane’s BeachHouse Hotel & Tiki Bar invites hungry friends and fans to the second annual “Best Bite on the Ave” from 6-8:30 pm, where 10 local nonprofits will benefit as 10 popular restaurants compete for the title. The fun and festive event will be held throughout the hotel, around both beach-like swimming pools and the two large tiki huts. Live music will be offered throughout the evening, including the Atlantic High School Drum Line, which will kick off the festivities, and Arts Garage Presents: The Young Jazz Project. There will also be a special tribute to the brave members of the armed forces that are serving overseas, courtesy of You Are Not Alone/Project Holiday.
For every beverage (alcoholic or not) purchased, a token will be given and visitors will then be encouraged to drop their token in their favorite restaurant/charity donation box to help determine the winner of the title for 2014. Admission is free, making it an even better reason to come out and support great food and good will.
