There are many Meetup Groups in Palm Beach County. They are run by positive, really hardworking Organizers who all do a great job & are dedicated to the Meetup Spirit, & all the groups are great places to have fun with a ton of different activities. You should join in on any and all of the groups that look fun, as each one has something different to offer. Here is what we offer at the The Awesome Mixers Group....

********Here is what we are: We are people just like you, who find it's tough to meet & make meaningful friends in Palm Beach County, and we're trying to change that! We are a very active, friendly group of professionals who are in our young 30s to young 50s. The organizers plan a few meaningful events each month of things they are are interested in, from happy hours to Habitat for Humanity, comedy & concerts, karaoke & kayaking, so that others who are also interested will join us, & we can all make new friends. We find that a group of 20 people is way more inviting than a group of 200, and *most* of us are past our wild drinking party days. We’ll work hard to get to know you by name, and many of our events will have name tags to help you feel comfortable when you join us. We welcome both singles & couples since this is not a dating group, and we're all just here to have a relaxed good time. Many of us have just moved here and don’t know anyone. Some have been here for years, but work too many hours to meet new people, or our friends have moved away, etc. Does that sound like you? If so, this is a fun, friendly, casual group that welcomes new comers, & has a great core of regulars! Don’t be afraid to come alone! Everybody does! If you're new here, don't just sit on the sidelines & watch this website....c'mon out & join us! You'll be glad you did! We know you’re here to meet friends, & there are no strangers in our group!

********Here is what we are not: This group does not strive to be “the biggest,” the “best,” or "the most active," or to have “the most events” or “the biggest parties." We're about the friends, not the competition. We do not plan events to cover all of South Florida; we stay focused on Palm Beach County so we can meet local friends in our own neighborhoods. There are lots of really great groups that offer fab events in other counties if you're interested, and they offer some fabulous travel opportunities that I am not able to offer here. However, it's not our intention to post other Group’s events on our calendar just so our our Meetup calendar looks super busy for everyone, and in an effort to draw a bigger crowd to our events. Finally, the organizers here (as well as for all the other Meetup Groups out there) are not professional event planners, and are not paid for doing this. So please be respectful of all Meetup Organizers & their efforts when you join in on their events.

If you think something is fun, there's bound to be 20 other people from this group who want to join you. This group is truly what the members make of it, and anyone is allowed to organize an event here. All you have to do is ask.
