Thanks for attending and for all the great feedback. I had a wonderful time presenting.
If you want to try out UserTesting.com, they have created a free code for attendees of the talk. "UX4devs" will get you one free test, web or mobile. I highly recommend checking them out!

Definitely a great meeting! Thank you for having us! There was one other book mentioned by Luke Wroblewski called Developing Design Principles.
Looking forward to next month's presentation!

It was a pleasure seeing you last night and glad to hear that you had a great time. Hope to see you again at the next one. Also please shoot me off an email so we can start planning a drink up for either this month or next.

Thanks for the book name and the author spelling; I struck out trying to google his name :-)

A big thank you to all those that made it out last night. I think I heard that our final count was around 50 people. That makes it one of our biggest meet ups in a long time.
Also a big thanks goes out to Doug, Max, and anyone else that helped get the video working for the meet up. It was pretty stressful not having it working right away but you were able to get it to work out in the end.
Lastly how can I not mention our presenters. Thank you to Eryn for sharing her knowledge of UX design practices with us and how to work with UX designers as well. There really is a UX designer in all of us. And I can't forget to thank Jessica Zehavi for agreeing to carry her presentation on RESTful web services over to next month. I'm looking forward to everything that she can teach us on what we might not know about being RESTful or even what we think we might know is wrong.
See everyone next month!

Great presentation especially in light of the equipment issues.
Awesome presentation by Eryn. In case anyone forgot, the books she mentioned are Rocket Surgery Made Easy and Don't Make Me Think, both by Steve Krug. I've read the former, and it's excellent.
I wanted to suggest a couple of books, but couldn't remember the authors during the meetup:Designing The Obvious by Robert Hoekman Jr, particularly for web-based UI.The Design of Everyday Things by Donald Norman, which covers usability design for tangible objects, but should be read even if you're designing for a screen. Also, Yahoo publishes their tips in a physical copy called The Yahoo! Style Guide, which I think they still update if I'm not mistaken.

A work emergency popped up right when I got to Sportspage so I had to drive all the way back home (Yes, I was dumb enough to leave my laptop at home). Sorry about that, folks, I'll have to wait to see all of you next month! :(

Is everyone still going to Sports Page around this meetup?
I will not be going to Sports Page prior to the meet up. May possibly stop by after, currently its not looking promising though.
As of right now (1pm) it doesn't look like any of the organizers plan to be at Sports Page before the meetup. After? Yes, we will go to Sports Page

I've got a sick girlfriend, so while I can make it to the meetup itself, it would be uncouth for me to hang out at the bar afterwards. *Before*, maybe I can swing it since it's right after work anyways. I'll try to make it around 6:15.
Ok I lied kicking it of early.
I'll be there in 1/2 hour :P
My commute always sucks when trying to get to a meeting especially due to the weather or construction traffic. Maybe its time to setup a group Skype. I would imagine the turnout would be better! Thoughts?
I tried to see if they could record it tonight. No luck yet. I'll try again when I get there.
I could try don't a hangout I know the Java script group just did that for their last meet up.
Hangout sounds great.
Something came up last minute. See everyone next month. :(
Is there anyone who is going to tomorrow's meetup from UofM or downtown area and can offer a ride ?

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
