I hope that everyone is enjoying their Labor Day weekend. Whether it be catching up on sleep, heading to the cabin for a long weekend, or just staying home and resting.
I wanted to send off a quick note about the meet up this coming Thursday. Although there isn't much on the schedule there will be a lot going on. To start with I will be announcing the dates for MidwestPHP and opening the call for papers during our meet up. For me that is very exciting and I hope it is to you as well.
Secondly if you haven't noticed The Minnesota PHP User Group has a new logo. The logo was graciously created for us by Jenna Hussey (@jhussey2). I will have on hand stickers of the new logo for anyone that would like one or two. So this means we will have swag at our meet up. I know everyone loves swag.
Last but not least we will have our very own Geoffrey Wagner speaking on how to implement caching within your application. He will be covering different techniques to cache not only your back end but also front end caching as well. We will also have Maxwell Vandrevelde present on the new things that have been added to PHP with the release of PHP 5.5.
Hope to see everyone at The Nerdery on Thursday Sept 5 at 7:00.
