Global Marijuana March

The local gathering for the Global Marijuana March is May 1st at 2 PM. The march will begin at the Piecemaker Pipe Shop at 24th and Hennepin and marching to Washburn-Fair Oaks Park (24th Street and Stevens Ave. S.). You can start at the pipe shop and march (this can be a very visually powerful visual when enough people are marching!) or meet at the park and show your support. This is a day for all those who support cannabis in any form to come out and show the people of Minneapolis just how many of us there are who support an end to prohibition. Bring a home made sign and show your support!

Grannyg, email me. jedcore at yahoo dot com. Let me know what area ya live in and we'll talk some and maybe have a social burning. I don't have my own vehicle right now. I own one, but my brother has it, and it's just a tiny pickup anyway. But I have pretty free use of a nice a vehicle and if I can help ya out a bit, I will do so. I'm always down to meet new like-minded people. We're all in this together now.

I would have loved to been at the march, but I don't drive and have a terror of the city buses, I would have gone if I could have found a 420 friendly buddy to pick my dissabled ass up! I am trying to reach out to 420 friendly people here in the city, this site is a good start, I just feel if we don't stand up and fight for what we want, we are going to get what they give us, this is unacceptable to me! I have no money being on rsdi, but I do have time, to talk to 420 friendly people.

A peaceful event, as always. What impressed me was the high amount of positive feedback/encouragement that we received from the public as they drove by - young people, old people, little old ladies, couples with children, all sorts of people honking and waving and giving peace signs and thumbs up... The people know that, just like chicken soup, nature's medicine is good for the soul.

I will be bringing a couple of signs for those who didn't bring their own, but if you can, make a sign for yourself- an opportunity to uniquely express yourself. Can't wait to see everyone there!
