MN NORML is excited to announce that our November membership meeting is being hosted at MN Neighborhoods Organizing for Change (NOC) in North Minneapolis, instead of our usual location at 4200 Cedar Ave in South Minneapolis. Mark your calendars now for this exciting event!
November's meeting discussion will focus on the racial disparity of marijuana-related arrests in Minnesota as was highlighted in the recent ACLU report, The War on Marijuana in Black and White, which can be found here:
Hennepin County leads the State of Minnesota with the greatest racial disparity of marijuana-related arrests by arresting blacks at a rate 9.1x greater than whites (almost 3x greater than the national average!) Marijuana prohibition has been referred to as, The New Jim Crow, by Michelle Alexander.
Please join us for an informative meeting with special guest speakers. All MN NORML meetings are open to the public, so bring family and friends!
Please RSVP now on MeetUp or you can also RSVP on Facebook here:
