The league at 43 hoops has an opening for a 6th team since one of the teams came up a few players sort. and had to drop out

Tom from 43 Hoops has offered our group the opportunity to throw together an ad hoc team to play in the 6:00 slot for FREE match this Sunday. We'll be joined by a few other stragglers and have the opportunity to test out the waters and possibly band together as a permanent team (we would have to pony up a prorated fee to formally join the league - prob around $20 per person or so)

If you're interested, go ahead and RSVP. It'll be a blast!

Teams are coed - and women are definitely encouraged to play (We need ya ladies - don't be shy). I've got a couple of RSVP slots reserved for especially for you.

FYI - although this league is competitive and plays with old school red rubber balls - it is a ton of fun. I've played against many of the teams over several seasons and there are a ton of friendly, talented players there.

Don't feel like you need to be an uber-jock to join either. Although the skill levels are generally pretty high, there are a wide variety of players playing. Most important is learning to play together as a team, something that can be pretty fun once you get the hang of it.

Matches are 7 games and usually last around 15 minutes. The rest of the hour slot us usually spent mixing up teams and playing pick-up games for fun.

Thanks to everyone for coming to try out league - it does look like the team is going to have enough feople to continue playing for the season. I'll leave it up to the team captain, Tracy, to work out the details about roster and payment. Everyone seemed to have a good time. The group certainly has a talented group of individual players. It'll just take some time to begin playing as a team and get used to the equipment / rules changes.

We'd need to give preference to people that are actually interested in joining a team for ongoing league play. On of our members, Tracy, actually had a team, but came up a few ppl short and had to drop out. Ideally a team would have 10-20 people on the roster and get 6-12 people to show up an play each week. Only 6 are on the court at any one time during official games, it'd suck to have to sit out more than every other game. Pick-up games afterwards can easily hold 12v12 games
