I'm sure most of you will agree with me that the technology landscape has been rapidly changing and most portable smart devices (phones and tablets) are going to play a major role in redefining how users use the World Wide Web.

The coming months and years will take us through an interesting phase fueled with innovations and applications focusing on smart device usage in our professional and personal lives.

This group here intends to focus on WWW IN Mobile along with fun,networking and job opportunities locally and globally in this space.

• HTML5 is a language for structuring and presenting content for the WWW, and is a core technology of the Internet originally proposed by Opera Software. Its core aims have been to improve the language with support for the latest multimedia while keeping it easily readable by humans and consistently understood by computers and now smart devices.

• WordPress (WordPress is currently the most popular CMS in use on the Internet) is a free and open source blogging tool and publishing platform powered by PHP and MySQL. It has many features including a plug-in architecture and a template system. Statistics says that WordPress powers 22% of all new websites.

• Drupal is a free and open-source content management framework (CMF) written in PHP and distributed under the GNU General Public License. It is used as a back-end system for at least 1.5% of all websites worldwide ranging from personal blogs to corporate, political, and government sites including whitehouse.gov and data.gov.uk.It is also used for knowledge management and business collaboration.

• SproutCore: an open-source JavaScript framework, with this developers can create web applications with advanced capabilities and a user experience comparable to that of desktop applications.
• PhoneGap (also called Apache Callback) is an open-source mobile development framework developed by Nitobi Software.[4] It enables softwareprogrammers to build applications for mobile devices using JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3, instead of often less-known languages such as Objective-C
• Drupalgardens: Drupal Gardens is an easy-to-use service for easily creating and hosting powerful, beautiful social websites using Drupal 7. Developers and users can extend it beyond what Drupal Gardens can do, by exporting it and take advantage of the thousands of modules available on drupal.org.
