Marcel Proust's In Search of Lost Time

“ ... the smell and taste of things remain poised a long time, like souls, ready to remind us, waiting and hoping for their moment, amid the ruins of all the rest; and bear unfaltering, in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence, the vast structure of recollection.”

It is Proust's monumental In Search of Lost Time beckoning.  And how much we are looking forward to this encounter.  Please join us for a discussion of Combray (Chapter 1 of Swann's Way - volume I).

For September 28 we are reading: The Overture and Combray.

Planning on meeting on this multiple times, or just once?

Multiple times. We plan on doing only the first chapter of the first volume this time. We will know more as we go.

This is a long time project. We are going to do the entire novel over several months. We will meet every 6 - 8 weeks, depending on how fast we want to go through it ... I imagine: not very fast.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
