We are entering the last part of the Karamazov epic of murder, love, fate and freedom. Though Mitya's interrogation was a powerful epicenter of the drama, the action is hardly over. Dostoyevsky continues to speak his mind on life and pain by skillfully manipulating the instinctive human reactions of the reader. There is no rational analysis allowed - key character loses his mind from trying to reason his way out of the chaos. We have been disabused of all aesthetic illusions. Can there be a happy ending?
We will conclude and celebrate our final Dostoyevsky meeting at a nearby Eastern European diner dive. Average per person about $10.
