MODX Primer - Creating A Demo Website and Q&A

  • What can it do?
  • Is it easy to use?
  • Are there templates?
  • Can I create pixel-perfect custom designs?
  • How do I create custom functionality?
  • How big can I go?
  • How far does it go supporting SEO best practices?
  • In a nutshell, what sets it apart?

MODX Revolution™ is a CMS/CMF designed to support web designers AND backend developers. Elegantly designed and solidly implemented, it separates the frontend and backend management in a way that designers and developers can work on different parts side by side without stepping on each other. We have total creative freedom to develop and render websites EXACTLY how we want, both with HTML/CSS/JS design and the backend functionality.

Paul Kabotie, Software Engineer and MODX Ambassador, will present a general overview of MODX and its capabilities. We will cover the basics of MODX architecture and development, create a demo site live, and allow for Q&A and discussion among all our participants. We will cover aspects of MODX for both designers and developers.

In addition, rub elbows with other movers and shakers of the Rocky Mountain MODX community! Meet, network, share tips, make connections, collaborate - enjoy yourself! Come one, come all - we look forward to seeing you!

The good folks at Code - The Technical Talent Agency are hosting us at the Denver Block Building. Located in the RINO district just north of downtown Denver, there is ample free parking. Food and drink will be provided as well (pizza, sodas and beer). Let us know if you have any dietary restrictions.

Contact Paul Kabotie via with suggestions for the presentation. Keep on Rocking MODX!
