To be clear about a big misunderstanding: our events are NOT full when it has 6 members RSVPed. Those are us as a team. This is the way MeetUp works.

Every time we follow the following procedure:
    1. We send a newsletter with Registration Date
    2. We send our SMS alerts
    3. We open our Registration, raising the 6 RSVP number towards 350 or 550 RSVPs.
    4. We send out Twitter messages and 1 e-mail to remind people to register for the event until we reach the maximum number of RSVPs.

In my view the second part (like always) was great. We learned from your feedback. We all know it is hard to beat MoMo #11 but that is okay. We will increase our efforts for MoMo #13. The expectations for MoMo are high and rising, that is natural. We won't give up or give in, we'll up the ante. Better be prepared for November 16th as we will blow even MoMo #11 to pieces!! Thanks for your attendance and feedback!

It was good, but the speakers were clearly trying to sell their services and I did not pick up any new info given my background.
  • Lorentz Stout
The first 2 presentations were pretty good, though the second one (CM) was a little off topic , but inspiring! A pitty that the programme was running late again because i had to leave a little early, now i missed more then i hoped...I would appreciate it if the start and ending times would be a bit more accurate.
  • Casper van Amelsvoort
The first two starting presentations were a bit below par. Nice anecdotes & insights from Africa & Indonesia. Especially the presentations after the break were very insightful and inspiring.
  • Hapee
There was a little misunderstanding about the terms, it was called developing countries but the talks were about emerging markets. The sponsertalk was interesting but not relevant to the meeting.
  • Nicola Bleasby
Some of it was really interesting, but I had the feeling that some of the speakers wanted to say everything they knew. Too bad that each didn't simply take one of their points and talk about that. Scope would have been more narrower, but I think I would have even so left with a good feeling - instead of a little bit of information overload.

Vooral verhaal van TFC vond ik erg inspirerend. alles kan dus en men staat in Afrika aan het begin van de mobiele revolutie. Jeroen van Glabbeek was leuk visionair. De moeite waard om te komen.
  • Freek Bodemeijer
Not as good as Momo 11. First talks were average. However, Marieme made the whole event worthwhile
  • Peter Pichel
Ik vond het heel verfrissend om nu eens niet bezig te zijn met de allerlaatste ontwikkeling op technisch gebied. Vond het leuk om het deze keer om te draaien, wat kun je met mbiel doen in deze landen. Goede sprekers ook.

My first MoMo and wasn't too impressed. CM gave a long presentation in Dutch, which I don't speak, but from the slides it wasn't interesting anyway. The Opera Mini presentation was a sales pitch for Opera, which I don't have any interest in. I did like the Indian guy, although he did speak very fast but as a native English speaker it wasn't too much of a problem. I will give it another try next time.
  • Pettrie
    good speakers, professional meeting
  • Randy Eichhorn
Niet alle sprekers brachten een up-to-date verhaal. Daarnaast waren de buitenlandse sprekers lastig te verstaan.
  • Johan Lemmens
Speakers did not share any new thoughts or info on subjects. Even misinformation at some points. Crowd, organisation, food & drinks were great again.
  • Arne
Unfortunately Momo only really started after the break. The speakers before the break were not of the level I have grown accustomed to over the last Momo meetings. That was very unfortunate.
  • Nanno
Hajo's talk was fine - but stating the Africans will take over the banking industry in Europe without explaining why .....!!!! pfffffffff!!!! Had a hard time figuring out the message that was conveyed (if any at all) by Jeroen van Glabbeek. Nuno Sitima's speech was not very inspiring. This in combination with the late start, the high temparature inside De Rode Hoed, attending the venue after a long working day, made me decide to leave the venue after the break.
  • Arsha Ansari Gilani
Great speaker. Especially the last two ones!

CM keynote was bad, Opera a bit boring and focused on Opera Mini. Rest was good, atmosphere was good, people were nice!
  • barbara molendijk
Marieme Jamme was very inspiring. Madanmohan Rao was interesting, but very difficult to follow. It seems to me that Indian people are fast speakers in their native language and they keep up this tempo when speaking English. It made it hard to follow his story, especially when seated upstairs where it is hard to benefit from lip reading. I am happy that the back channel seems to be definitely gone!
  • Ingrid
Great topics, fantastic speakers! Thanks again Momo!
  • bert de boer
Is was just a glimpse of what is happening 'out there'. Not a lot of new things heard, but momo12 has been motivating and entertaing again!
  • Rogier
The last 2 speakers saved this version of MoMo, the first ones couldn't inspire, learn, intrest the crowd at all. And missed the point and sometimes forgot about the theme... Location is super and Marc Fonteijn is a really good host.. It is of-course a free event so that makes it still interesting to go another time but then maybe just for 2 speakers... The trip from Breda was not really worth it this time.
  • Mike Verbruggen
Please i like to see more inspiring people with presentation skills. Like the last lady. And... the crew is wonderful.
  • Phillip Actor
I found the presentations to be either not understandable or too insignificant content-wise. I was hopiong to hear something not readily available in publications such as the Economist or Business Week.
  • Dirk-Jan Koeman
2nd lecture (from CM) did not really have anything to do with the theme (developing countries), was more of an infomercial 4th presentation was very inspiring but a little hard to understand as the Hindi English (Henglish) was very fast 5th was also inspirational but clearly not all the slides were her own; the ones with the nice graphics were borrowed...
  • Meike
For someone that still has and always had the NOKIA ring tone on her mobile, I found it an inspiring afternoon with lots of opinionated, well-developed messages on the 'to be developed'. Including what we can learn out here from the creative solutions from those areas. The presentation by Mariamé could use some more depth and back-up by facts - it will support her championship better, since I do believe in her message as such!
  • Bas van de Haterd
Not to much good speakers this time, lots of 'this is how it should be' while momo was famous for it's 'this is how it's done, these are the results. I don't think I would have missed anything if I hadn't attended.
  • Chris Eidhof
Excellent speakers. Too bad everything is always a bit late.
  • Gianfranco Chicco
seen only the first 3 speakers. First one (marc fonteijn) very good, second one spoke in Dutch so I couldn't follow it (= got bored). Third one, Nuno Sitima, was ok but not very engaging.
  • Robert de Bruyn
Interesting hearing about mobile services and business other use than lbs, media download, or other.
  • Edsger Jager
Unfortunately not all presentation were linked to the subject. Last two presentations were very nice and inspiring.
  • David M.F.
    interesting, good speakers
  • Sjoerd Goderie
Before the break slightly dissapointing. Sounded more like a lecture (Jeroen van Glasbeek) and a quick glance in an enormous database, than that is was inspiring. After the break I was pleasantly surprised with the two inspirational presentations. What an energy!! And the attendees were inspiring as wel... so I got a lot of energy and inspiration caused by the talks during drinks, nice!!
  • Mark Beek
Interesting subjects and speakers! Unfortunately I couldn't understand nuno and madanmohan very well because of their english
  • Arjan Lugthart
Nice to see some thoughts and facts about the usage of mobile phones in developing countries. But in some presentaties 'mobile' was just a small part of it.
  • Rens de Nobel
Very good information, I left with a lot of valuable input
  • Alan Munzer
Great enthusiasm of organisers and presenters, wide diversity of topics, interested crowds
