New Venue: de Duif
A short reminder - the preaching of the Mobile gospel is to be done in a church. We will be at another venue than we used to be at before, so make sure you come to the right place: Mobile Monday #14 is held at 'de Duif', located in the very center of Amsterdam, Prinsengracht 756. Make sure to note this address in your planner if you intend to come. We would not want you to miss our first speaker;)

When to get your RSVP
Be ready to grab your free RSVP when the first 250 RSVPs are released next Monday (January 11th) at 12:00 sharp. Make sure to be in time because we can run out of RSVPs within minutes: last event the first 250 RSVPs sold out with 15 minutes. We recommend programing a reminder in your phone or subscribing to the RSVP SMS alert:) Once the RSVPs are released, you can get yours at Meetup. For those who are not near a computer or on holidays: use the brand new mobile Meetup site to get your RSVP. Just to be clear: although MoMo is a free event, an RSVP is mandatory.

---
PS. Mobile Monday is organized by volunteers and would not be possible without help from our supporters: Triple IT, Vodafone, CM, Logica, and Skyhook Wireless.

Overheard: MoMoAms plans to help organizing a business trip to the Mobile Monday Global meeting in Vancouver later this year.

@JoppeVanDuijn: We are surprised by some of your comments. We would appreciate it if you would substantiate those claims. Only Vodafone was sponsor talk. Some talks before the break had a few commercial slides, agree but especially after the break all talks were objective and content based. Too bad you left early. Anyway, thanks for your feedback and hopefully see you next time.

Oooppsss... a typo in my comment. 'A bit boring; ....' should read as ' A bit boring repeating; .....' Should be understood as a positive comment, guys. Sorry.

I had a blast talking at the mHealth event. Organizers were great, the production was fantastic, the venue was amazing, and the audience....wow the audience was really incredible. It was just pure delight to present to these people. Thank you all for your support, kind words and some really cool ideas you gave me.

Good start in a new location. Fantastic turnout and audience, lots of key players on baord. Lots and lots of speakers and insights, practical and visionary. A bit too much speakers, I can imagine and relate. Next time we will allow more time and room for the networking part and more interactivity. Overall, a complete experience on mHealth. Thanks to the whole team, especially Maarten!

beetje teveel sprekers in hetzelfde thema, wel interessant thema overigens
  • Ramona
Very interesting, good speakers and nice subjects!
  • Francois Laureys
Good topic, good speakers, good mix of technology drivenness and user focus.
  • Jan-Willem van den Pol
Mooie locaties, uiteenlopende presentaties en een goede sfeer. Aan het eind merkte je wel dat de spanning wat daalde en het wat onrustig werd maar het was dan ook wel etenstijd :)
  • Jan van der Sluis
A bit boring: a nice program with quite different levels of presentations. Being a free event I think visitors should accept some promotional talks. No problem, as long as they don't dominate. On remark however: why in Engish? Or: why international? Occassionally, I can picture, but it now seems to be a trend. No Dutch projects worthwhile (which can be the case...).
  • Bernadette Wijnings
De ruimte was erg lawaaierig, de sprekers voor de pauze vrij slecht, na de pauze wel heel goed. Vond de Rode Hoed fijner omdat de borrel en de sprekersruimte afgesloten konden worden.
  • Sebastian Plasschaert
Last part was great! Igor and Jen were fantastic. Great location btw!
  • Ingrid
Fantastic event, great topic, qualified speakers. Thank you once again MoMo! The field of mHealth is huge. I believe it would be easy to fill another MoMo session with more speakers on this topic. Looking for ideas? Contact me! @scholtheis
  • Coen van de Steeg
Some great speakers, overall good organization, discussion part more prominent
  • evert stobbe
Really liked MOMO #14. Didn't know anything about mHealth beforehand. Got inspired! Overall quality of speakers was high, really liked Jen S. McCabe and Ivor Kovic.
  • Johan Lemmens
Good way to catch up on developments on mHealth. Still, basically a greenfield for mobile developments with a huge potential; social and economical. Speakers: some great, some inexperienced. Time management was a challenge this MoMo, which led to empty seats after the break. The new venue now holds enough people and has a good ambiance, but networking after the break interferes with the presentations, which is a step down from the old venue where networking and presentations were more or less divided in two separate rooms.
  • krispijn
nice new location, excellent speakers, very well organized (as usual!)
  • Daan van Kempen
Not all speakers were inspiring. Next time maybe more focus on the better speakers.
  • Joe Lamantia
It was very large. It was hard to hear while sitting in the back. Some of the speakers needed more practice.
  • Peter Vermeiren
It was a good meeting, a bit to abstract in some cases but overall an inspiring occasion.
  • Jamie Foggon
I thought the mix of speakers was great - some in depth industry knowledge (Kovic was great), combined with some great design thinking from Fabio Sergio. I enjoyed it a great deal, and wish I'd been coming to the previous ones! ps - If Marc reads this, I met you at the service design drinks in Westerpark, I work at Media Catalyst.
  • Marc de Boer
Good speakers, good fun. Gave me an overview of what is going on at the front lines of mHealth. Most were a bit global though, visionary or wishful, only a few were about real results. Obviously a world were things don't move as fast as in commercial fields.
  • Eric-Jan Achten
eerste helft bijgewoond, weinig nieuws gehoord. Verwachte m-health insights te krijgen, was vooral e-health ontwikkelingen
  • Dirk-Jan Koeman
Poor acoustics in venue, rude/noisy people. Some excellent presentations and some poor ones!
  • Bas Koopman
niet heel veel nieuwe dingen gehoord, maar absoluut een leuke en inspirerende middag
  • Gianfranco Chicco
the event was great, type of content and speaker were very well balanced. Only con is that the welcome & introduction to the event was made in Dutch... though I agree we are in the Netherlands (but you still have an international audience and also for the foreign speakers it would be good to understand what is being said). Great work guys!
  • Thijs de Vries
Some very inspiring speakers, although maybe a bit too much for a monday evening. Lots of information so it was not really possible to discuss the speakers with colleagues or other interesting people.
  • Albert Boswijk
GOOD SESSION, next time better time anagement of one speaker less. The last speaker I found the least interesting
  • Gijsbregt
Good topics, not all great presentations, lots of great minds together.
  • Iskander Smit
Goede Momo, met een goede opbouw. Eerste serie presentaties wat minder spannend, maar zeker de laatste twee zeer ok. Als altijd weer erg goede vibe. Door de uitloop van het programma werd de borrel een stuk korter (mensen moeten toch naar huis).
  • Len Clabbers
not a topic close to my current business so my opinion is less relevant. overall the meeting was a bit too long (as could be noticed by the number of people leaving before the last speaker
  • Mario Pedroli
Good inspiring speakers. Although the message was much alike: collecting data via mobile apps will improve health care.
  • Patrick Essers
Interesting presentations on this topic. Time keeping is allways a problem ;-)
  • Jet Labrie
Heard quite a few new interesting things, I especially like Nick Hunn & Robert Houtenbos. Unfortunately I couldn't stay till the end and had to leave at the break.
  • Gregor Hendrikse
    Interesting meeting
  • Samuel Vissotto
MoMo #14 was simply enlightening. Coming from NTT DOCOMO, Inc. we tend to think that there's nothing going on in the world of mhealth except for the Nippon thing. Well, today I saw health going mobile, in great style at De Duif Amsterdam. By the way great pipe organ in the beginning!
  • Rutger Pekelharing
Interesting topic. I would have expected more concrete cases and experiences. Anyway, it contained good food for thought.
  • Jasper van Bochove
Some clear visions and good examples
  • Vincent Rietveld
    inspiring speakers!!
  • jacob greidanus
pros: great topic, some great talks cons: it all took to long (a lot of talks, some of which running out of the planned time) Maybe a maximum of 6 talks combined with a visual talk timer would keep things on track (this helps audience energy and participation levels)
  • Alan Munzer
Interesting topic, smilar to digital music and other industries which are waiting for more standardisation and regulation/legislation to unlock full potential. Saw some very good topics before the first break (esp. on new Bluetooth standard)
  • Jan van Rossum
Vooral praktijkvoorbeelden spreken aan. Wat meer filosofische benadering van de laatste spreekster is op zich aardig voor de overweging, maar voor mij te weinig concreet
  • Erwin Poeze
Hoewel mHealth niet mijn primaire interesse heeft, heb ik er toch weer nieuwe ideeën uit gehaald. Altijd nuttig.
  • Mope
brilliant UK speaker about developments bluetooth
  • Erwin van den Boom
Not that relevant, no concrete business cases. Must say we left in the break.
  • joppe van duijn
Saw 1 seemingly independent presentation by the bluetooth developer, all others were either industry or paid by industry. Left half way but decided to stay for the ECG talk. Unfortunately there was another advertisement talk by Vodafone which got me heading for the door permanently I hope everyone noticed it was more advertisement than sharing of information to get a better understanding. Would have been interesting to invite a physician or nurse and have more time to ask questions. Too bad it wasn't more interactive.
