Let's see The Lego Movie at Cinemark in Strongsville

It's a movie, made with Legos. Need I say more? Okay then, here's a brief synopsis: An ordinary LEGO minifigure, mistakenly thought to be the extraordinary MasterBuilder, is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil LEGO tyrant from gluing the universe together.

You can watch the trailer here.

It features a really great cast of voice actors, including Chris Pratt, Will Arnett, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, and the always fantastic Morgan Freeman.

We're going to work this one a little backwards from normal. We'll go to the movie first, at about 2:30, so we can take advantage of a lower-priced option. Then afterwards, if anyone wants to stick around for a bite to eat or a beverage, we can decide where.

We'll be meeting for the movie on Sunday, there's a 2:35 showing this weekend, so hopefully the time will remain the same on the 16th. We will be seeing the 2D version.

I hope to see you all there!

UPDATE: Cinemark has posted their showtimes, and there is a 2:35 2D showing of the LEGO movie on Sunday.  We'll meet in front of the box office overlooking the first floor.  Please try to meet by about 2:15 so we can get seats together.

Do you all ever go and see new movies on the east side or just on the west side?

    February 13, 2014

    • Jason

Generally, we try to host movies at a variety of places. Which part of town are you in?

Factoid: Although the Lego movie was created digitally, if you wanted to recreate it in the real world, you would need 15,080,330 Lego bricks. Seriously. I couldn't make this stuff up. You can verify it here: http://www.businessinsider.com/number-of-legos-in-the-lego-movie-2014-2

The reviews have been surprising in their praise of the Lego Movie and Rotten Tomatoes gave it an unprecedented ( and surprising) 99% rating. Wow, never saw that high a rating before. Even the harshest critics loved it.

Wish I could go but I've got a volunteer event I'm doing.

Sorry to hear that, Pat. About you not coming, not about the good reviews...

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
