Let's see Heaven is for Real at Crocker Park

It's been awhile since we've been to Crocker Park and our favorite happy hour place, so let's go see Heaven is for Real and enjoy $1 burger night at Bar Louie.

Synopsis: During an emergency appendectomy operation, Colton Burpo, only four years old at the time, claimed he'd been to heaven and sat on Jesus' lap. At first no one pays attention to the little boy, but when he reveals details of what happened while he was having an out-of-body experience, including describing what his parents were doing during his surgery and where they were, his family has second thoughts about his claims. Colton talks about his great-grandfather, whom he's never met, and identifies him through a photo he's never seen. He also tells his parents he saw his other sister, who was miscarried at two months, saying she was happy to see him in Heaven. However, not everyone believes Colton, and it creates stress for the family. A film adaptation of the novel by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent.

Let's figure on a 7pm show and burgers around 530 pm... I will update times closer to the date of the show.

Bar Louie is diagonally across from the theatre. Happy Hour includes food and drink specials like $4 small plates, $3 domestics, $4 house wines, and $6 martinis from Monday through Friday between 4pm and 7pm.

Loved the location even though I do not live close by. Bar Louie's one dollar hamburgers were lean and delicious. Other appetizers had special prices. Special prices on wine.
Movie was good especially actor Greg Kinnear as father and preacher.
Enjoyed meeting new people and going to Savannah's after.

I really enjoyed this movie even though in some ways it reminded me of a made for TV movie. Definitely got you thinking and for me, a nice change from the superheros. My apologies, Captain America. Bar Louie is always fun with $1.00 burgers and it was nice to meet some new people and see people I know.

This weather couldn't be better for going indoors for food/drinks/a movie! :) Drive carefully there, as we're supposed to get high winds with the thunderstorms! :)

It must be echoed once again that such Meetups on Cleveland's Far West areas may be too distant for East Siders. Even Valley View is somewhat of a trip. FYI, there's a Bar Louies at Legacy Village.

    Thanks!

Hi Ron: As we mentioned last time, we're a pretty open group and would have no problem scheduling some movies on the East Side. Unfortunately, no one has ever offered to step up to the bat to act as an organizer or point of contact. Could I interest you in the position?

I am not sure what the east and west goings on are here in Cleveland, but I am neither, and I think variety is the spice of life. I have traveled thousands of miles to go places... No issue for me:-)) I think you do a great job Pat to give all your members different spots to see movies and such...Keep up the great job..5 stars!!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
