Let's see Sin City: A Dame to Kill For at Crocker Park

This is the sequel to the 2005 cult classic film. It features the stars from the original, including stars like Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, and Mickey Rourke, as well as Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Eva Green, among many others.

The film weaves together four separate stories of the inhabitants of Basin City: Dwight McCarthy tries to help his ex-lover escape her abusive husband; Marv tries to recall how he wound up on a highway surround by dead men; Johnny, a gambler, tries to take down the most powerful man in Sin City; and Nancy vows revenge against the man who wronged her.

View the trailer here.

At this point, we'll estimate that there will be a 7:00 showing of the film. I will update with the official time when it's posted.

Let's meet beforehand at Bar Louie for food and/or adult beverages. Plan on meeting at 5:30; I will arrive a little early to reserve a table.

Hope to see everyone there!

UPDATE: The showtimes are posted for Wednesday, and the 2D showing is at 8:00. So let's plan on meeting at Bar Louie around 6:00 instead. I'll still get there early to try and get a table or two for us. We'll head over to the theater around 7:40.

If you're planning on meeting us at the restaurant, let me know, please. I'll have a small Meetup sign (looks just like the logo) on the tables. And I'll post comments to let everyone know where we are.

I really enjoy the Sin City films. It's an interesting take on the classic noir genre, With the black and white, the hyper-violence is very stylized. And I've always been a huge fan of Eva Green, what an amazing actress! Thanks to everyone for coming out last night, it was a great evening!

Visceral, gritty and additively compelling, Sin City is an entertaining homage to the cinema noir pulp graphic novels and reflects a violent and morally ambiguous world that is not as clearly defined as the artistic black and white media would imply.

Just a reminder, the Giant Eagle in Westlake sells discount tickets for Regal Cinemas. You take it to the box office to buy your movie ticket. There may be a small upcharge because the movie is still a new release, but it does save off the full price.

Absolutely Hard to look pretty. Then, he got cosmetic surgery done too. With film editing AfterEffects, Photoshop, etc, I think this is as pretty as he's gonna be for now.
