February Volleyball - Monday Nights

Hey Everybody,

We've been working to get more time at the center to add an extra night.  We won't be able to get that night until March, though.  Until then, we'll continue Monday nights as we have been.  Come March, we may be moving Open night to Thursdays and making Monday Night Power Volleyball.

I believe Thursdays will be from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, but there will be more information coming out about that later.

In order to keep from getting too crowded, we're going to have to reserve the right to turn away players who come after we're at capacity in order to ensure ample playing opportunity for everybody there.

Our goal is to provide a fun volleyball experience where the level of play progresses as everybody works together to learn the skills of passing, setting, hitting, serving, blocking, etc. while also learning to work together in an effective system.

Come March, we're going to try to provide Open Play opportunities where everyone is welcome to come play, learn, and work on improvement as well as providing a Power Volleyball experience for players who have previously played in competitive leagues and understand the concepts of more complex volleyball systems.

We will require that all players in the Power League have sufficient ball control that hard driven spikes provide no sense of apprehension either in the hitter or the defender, that all players are capable of a fairly skilled level of play and court movement, and will hopefully be used as a basis from which we can begin to form competitive teams to compete against other established teams in higher level tournaments.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
