EVENT: Participate in building a sukkah, the temporary outdoor dwelling used during the holiday of Sukkot. Use this opportunity to prune your trees and bushes, and bring the branches to be used for the roof. (Prunings 2 feet long are the ideal size.) If you have decorations (or materials to make some), they would be welcome also. No tools are necessary, but bring your own work/garden gloves if you have them.
RSVP: Required by Thursday, 9/12. (Sorry for the early RSVP deadline, but Yom Kippur begins Friday night.)
MEET: 11 am at a member's home in Newton. Directions will be sent to those who RSVP. Note: There are 2 cats in the house, but they will not be near the sukkah or the refreshments.
COST: Free. In fact, better than free, since we will provide beverages and pastry.
