A Hike at Great Meadows Wildlife Refuge, Sudbury

Event: Join us for a moderate hike at the Great Meadows Wildlife Refuge that is located just 20 miles outside of Boston. This Refuge is known for it?s bird watching and has over 3,600 acres of valuable freshwater wetlands along 12 miles of the Concord and Sudbury Rivers : Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge . We have planned 1 ? mile hike that will be over primarily even terrain and should take a little over a couple of hours with a stop for lunch somewhere along the trail, Bring water and lunch. A group of 10 would be ideal

TC: Jeff Sussman, at [address removed] or cell[masked]
RSVP: Required by 05/21, use Jeff's address above and include a cell phone number in your RSVP for contact on the 23rd. Jeff can provide more details on the arrangements when you RSVP.

Meet: 10 AM at the JCC in Newton on 333 Nahanton Street for carpooling or make arrangements to get together at 11 AM the Refuge?s Visitor Center.
Cost: $5 for a Mosaic guest.

This is the first of a series of hikes and everyone is invited to any one or all of the events. Each succeeding hike would encompass two things: first a little further from Boston travel time and longer in length. The idea would that if one participates in the series one would build up their stamina so that they can hike Mt. Monadnack in NH on Columbus Day in October.

Mosaic will closing out this site shortly but we are beginning to list events at our new location in which is a website set up all sorts of Jewish activities in the Boston area.
