Dear Fellow Riders.
It is a third attempt to perform this ride. Two previous ones has a rain. I suppose, it will be the rain at third time, whatever what the date will be chosen and even it will be no rain in the forecast (joke), So
Northern Maryland has a number of Dams and I invite you to see 4 of them:
#1 Brighton Dam
#2 Liberty Dam
#3 Loch Raven Dam
#4 Pretty Boy Dam
We start at 9:00AM in Germantown and ride thru these 4 dams, stop on each to make a photo and have some rest. The route itself goes thru countryside on back roads - not so curvy and hilly and acceptable for newbies. The pace will be slow-to-moderate depends on the less skilled rider. The total route is about 150 miles.
I suppose it will be 2 groups ride, so I limited it by 40 bikes, Jim is a leader of the second group.
Note #1: Do not expect fast riding
Note #2: We will have just one special stop on gasoline station - 11235 York Road Cockeysville, MD. It will be about 60 miles from the start and up to 90 miles to the finish. - please be sure you will have enough gasoline for the ride. I also could stop on some gasoline station on the way up to my choice.
Note #3:The restaurant is so expensive (will be ready to pay ~ $30 per peson, but service is incredible and so fast, especially for big group).
Note #4: Do not expect restrooms on the dam's overlook
Note #5: Liberty Dam is not open for public, so we will stop on Liberty Reservoir instead.
Note #6: The date is a subject to change
Note #7: Fishing is prohibited on ALL DAMs! Please leave your lines at home ... (joke)
