The Children's Inn is where very sick children and their families can reside while the children undergo experimental treatment for rare or unresponsive diseases at the NIH. The overriding philosophy at The Children's Inn is that families make a difference in the lives of their sick children. To treat a patient effectively, the healthcare team must care for the family and child as one. The emotional comfort a family gives to a sick child and the mutual support among kids and families who share the same experience together are invaluable.
As a part of the "Back to Bethesda" festival to benefit the Children's Inn, the ride originates in Rockville, loops west through some beautiful countryside, and ends at the "Back to Bethesda" Car and Motorcycle show in Bethesda (where participants get special parking, and can also register their bike for the show if they like). Last years ride was the first renewal of this charity ride, and this year's event should be even better. Registration is $20, and all proceeds go to the Inn.
