Charity Ride for the Children's Inn at NIH

The Children's Inn is where very sick children and their families can reside while the children undergo experimental treatment for rare or unresponsive diseases at the NIH. The overriding philosophy at The Children's Inn is that families make a difference in the lives of their sick children. To treat a patient effectively, the healthcare team must care for the family and child as one. The emotional comfort a family gives to a sick child and the mutual support among kids and families who share the same experience together are invaluable.

As a part of the "Back to Bethesda" festival to benefit the Children's Inn, the ride originates in Rockville, loops west through some beautiful countryside, and ends at the "Back to Bethesda" Car and Motorcycle show in Bethesda (where participants get special parking, and can also register their bike for the show if they like). Last years ride was the first renewal of this charity ride, and this year's event should be even better. Registration is $20, and all proceeds go to the Inn. Register at the website :

Sorry about backing out at the last minute. If things change with my obligations tomorrow morning, I'll try to meet up with you all at the event.

I think it's probably best to just meet at the Rockville Cinema meeting place - they'll have coffee and donuts there, between 7:30 and 8:30. 199 E. Montgomery, Rockville. Kickstands up at 8:30. You can register there, if you haven't done it already online. Expecting over 35 riders and beautiful weather!

Are we going to try and connect somewhere before the ride?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
