Car Corral at Pitt-RacePitt-Race Historic Race Weekend – July 12/13, 2014
Car Corral generously hosted by Liberty Mutual and the BMW Club. Come out to watch an exciting variety of vintage and historic racing at the PVGP Historics at Pitt-Race Complex on the July 12/13 weekend. The Allegheny Chapter of the BMW Car Club of America along with Liberty Mutual host a car corral for all cars at a trackside tent on the hillside beside the Conference Center overlooking the last turn. This includes a reserved parking area adjacent to the tent where you can watch the races.
This car corral began five years ago as a German Marque Car event hosted by the BMW Club but has grown so popular that the club has now opened it up to all cars. Lunch and refreshments catered by Wexford Post Office Catering must be purchased in advance for each day. Special parking for Mustang Marque of the Year participants will be reserved near the tent on the hill overlooking the final turn and straight-away of the race circuit.
Wexford Post Office Deli offers a lunch each day. The cost for a catered sit-down lunch in the tent is only $20 per person/per day. You must pre-register and pay online.
You will be responsible for paying your entry into the track facility – the cost per person at the gate is $15 per day or $25 for a weekend pass. There are no entry tickets available ahead of the event so you will need to pay at the gate.
Please contact Eric Zagrocki of the BMW Club with any questions.
The Car Corral tent is located between the PIRC Event Center Building and the water tower. It is a perfect viewing area to watch the races from above the last uphill turn. After entering through the front gate you will proceed towards the race track and turn right along the paved road. Parking is in the grass area behind the tent, against the fence that overlooks the Wilson Kart track.
