So sorry, I've been so busy lately, that I just realized that today was Second Sunday (but also the last day of the Three Rivers Arts Festival). We'll have to schedule one after the Father's day weekend.
On other matters...
I've been talking lately with Leon Dixon, who you will find just recently joined (thank you). He is the president of PittStopMINI, which I recommend checking out their website at http://www.pittstopmini.org/
. They have several big events planned for the summer. Leon and I have also been tossing some ideas around in conjunction with the Spaghetti Warehouse in the strip district on trying to organize a car cruise or possibly other get-togethers down there. For those who have not joined PittStopMini, they have a British Car Showdown @ The Vintage Grand Prix Of Mid-Ohio coming up on Saturday June 27th. An idea has been tossed around that some of the board members and possibly some members of PittStop may meet up down at the Spaghetti Warehouse on Thursday the 25th in the evening to discuss the VGPrix. S.Warehouse will be offering "rollback pricing" to their original prices that evening. If some Motoring the 'burgh members are interested, maybe we could all grab a bite and talk Mini's while they talk business. Ha ha. Hopefully, we could discuss getting a larger car cruise developed for the Spaghetti Warehouse.
If you are interested in joining us down at S.W-house June 25th, shoot me an email, and I'll keep you in the loop.
On a final point...
I recently got some work done on my blue MINI... and if anyone needs a GREAT professional (and honest) mechanic, who loves MINI's and does high performance work, with an easy-on-the-wallet price tag, I will highly recommend him. Oh, and by work, I mean... Awesome new tires, sound insulating inside the doors, removal of pre-catalytic converters (extra horses baby!!!), color matched to my body and painted my brakes, and rear struts, clear coated my head lamps, touched up my paint job, and some other unmentionables. He did high-end performance work in Miami and also worked on a car in the first "Transformers" movie. I can't begin to explain how much more exciting the Coop has become with such little touch ups. The guy is old-school hard work mentality and motivated and passionate about all cars and motorcycles. He'd probably even take you out to show you how to control your new ride. All work is legit, and he can follow warranty specs. Email me if you really want your MINI driving how it was meant to, and I'll get you in touch with him.
Thanks much!! See you all soon!
