What a wonderful day! Thanks guys for the "sweep" and the info on the shocks...I've got a lot to learn :-) and a lot of work ahead of me to get in good enough shape to keep up with the group. Any beginner rides you want to post would be greatly appreciated! I didn't know John, but it was wonderful to see the turnout in his honor and nature cooperated in offering such a beautiful day to celebrate him.

Thanks again to everyone that came out for a great day. My father loved riding with you guys. Just want to clarify that it was the 2nd annual ride for my father as he died on the 23 rd two years ago. But, this was the third ride in his name. I will make sure next year to have some swag for you all like last year. It has been my mission to raise awareness and hope to open a center for the treatment of mesothelioma at the West L.A. Veterans Administration. Feel free to follow my team, Monster Media Racing on FB. #fightmeso The John Johnson Family is a sponsor of the team. Come on out for some cool ocean breezes in downtown Dana Point this May and watch the biggest one day criterium race in America. Thanks again. [masked]
Also, if any of you know of someone that has been diagnosed or currently has mesothelioma (caused from asbestos) please reach out to me so I can lend a hand to help and offer some services. Thanks again.

Hay guys sorry about missing the ride today. yesterday I had a loose rock bump my rear derailleur which then caught a spoke. And then proceeded to thoroughly contort itself and my derailleur hanger.

For those of you who are inquiring about directions you can click on the map link which is below where it says "Cottonwood Valley/Late Night Trailhead". Clicking on it will open Google maps where you can plug in your starting address to get turn by turn directions. We are meeting at the large paved lot on the north side of 160 and NOT at McGhies Bike Outpost. See everyone on Sunday!

Take I-15 north to state Route 160 west. go west on 160 (Blue Diamond Rd.) About 5 miles after it narrows to 2 lanes on your right will be a parking lot and Restrooms.
